A VERY International Movember

By , November 28th, 2013

Movember is coming to a close, and Team trivaMo is MO-tivated to end the fun-filled month with success!  Tonight is our last Movember event – a Gala Party, complete with beats from DJ MoBro and an awards ceremony to honor Mr. and Miss Movember.
trivago has a very unique and international workforce in our Düsseldorf, Germany office.  Our Mo Bros and Mo Sistas come from all over the world, and each of our teams united to make trivaMo a success.  We think our Movember efforts showcase our globalness, and we hope you think so as well!

Philip, our fearless trivaMo leader hailing from the U.K., rallied our troops with a MO-ving Movember Poem and organized several trivaMo events, starting with a professional shave on Movember 1st, a moustache movie night, and the Movember Gala.

The American and Canadian gals at trivago made sure that all their fellow Mo Bros and Mo Sistas started Movember in style.  They opened up a temporary Mo’ Gear Shop on their floor , where they sold cute moustache swag:  bags, jewelry, coin purses, and even underwear!

Mo Sistas and Mo Bros from our Asia and Pacific team hosted a very yummy Asian luncheon, serving up dishes from their native countries.   The office got to sample dishes from Korea, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, India, and Hong Kong.

The Latin American trivaMo team, which consists of members from Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico, prepared a very festive night filled with activities, food, and dancing. The team served up delicious cocktails and snacks and taught Spanish to trivago colleagues.  And of course – everyone salsa-danced into the night!

The trivaMo Sistas from Sweden, Norway, and Finland organized a Mo Market, where trivago employees brought in clothing and goods to sell with the proceeds going to the Movember charity.  Naturally, the sistas from up north realized that the event would not be complete without special Nordic cocktails and sweet treats such as Swedish cookies and Nordic Cinnamon rolls!

The French team at trivago put on their berets and served up homemade crêpes for a sweet afternoon treat.  On the menu:  Nutella, Sugar, Jam.  Oh! C’est bien!

Ciao!  Team Italia gave trivago a taste of Italy by hosting MO-peritivo.  Typical Italian Spritz and appetizers were served: tramezzini with salami and cheese, pasta fredda with fresh tomato, mozzarella and basilico, torte salate, delicious frittate and much more.  The Italians also gave us a quick lesson on talking with hand gestures 🙂
