This Spa in Fort Lauderdale sits directly across from the beach making it possible to enjoy treatments at the Atlantic Hotel without a worry in the world. Enjoy the spa’s facilities and even go to the beach — all as part of a visit to the spa alone. The hotel is lovely with large, tastefully appointed rooms. Combining a spa experience with a night or two at the hotel is the ideal spa getaway.

The pleasant greeting I received upon my arrival at Spa Atlantic indicated to me that I’d made the right decision of where to treat myself. On the way back, I was given a quick tour of the spa facilities which include a spotless gym packed full of some of my favorite equipment (I love Cybex Arc Trainers), a sun terrace with a magnificent view and fully equipped locker room with a huge whirlpool, sauna and steam room. Compared to some of the spas I’ve visited on South Beach, this spa was surprisingly gigantic yet peaceful.

From the spa menu, I chose the Gentleman’s Facial. The treatment room was quiet and comfortable and the treatment itself was extremely relaxing; so much so I could barely stay awake. In fact, I did slip off into a nap for just a little bit. It was impossible not to drift off with the aromatherapy of the natural botanical products used by the esthetician which were soothing and gentle; leaving me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed!

If all of this pampering has worked up your appetite, no need to wander far. Beauty & The Feast Bar and Kitchen (what a clever name, right?) offers a globally inspired menu of American classics fit for everyone’s palette. If you want to enjoy even more sunshine the Ocean Market Grille offers restaurant go-ers a casual lunch on an oceanfront terrace with captivating views.
