The Dreamcatcher is located within earshot of Ocean Park beach in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The property welcomes guests to its eclectic bohemian rooms, complete with hammocks for mid-afternoon naps. Guests have access to yoga and meditation classes or rent bicycles to ride along the beach promenade.

The Dreamcatcher’s 3 course Vegan or Vegetarian brunch is lovingly created by chef Jerome who has specialized in vegan and veggie cooking since 2003. The menu changes every day to keep things fresh but you can expect homemade hemp milk, kombucha and abundant local fruit. Should you prefer to skip the restaurant reservations in favor of making your own dinners or beach lunches, two vegetarian kitchens are free for guest use, as well as a herb garden to add some homegrown flavor.

The Park Lane Guesthouse was built by owner and operator Shakti in historic SoCo corner of Austin. The property is shaded by a massive heritage live Oak tree with a natural pool and abundant organic gardens growing veggies,  fruit, herbs and flowers. Beyond the garden, there is also a chicken coop full of delightful chickens, fed on kitchen compost. The same eggs are used to cook up Shakti’s incredible vegetarian breakfasts.

The most important meal of the day is made to order and can be taken in the privacy of your cottage or your deck.

Our picks: The organic omelet is made from fresh Park Lane eggs, organic cheddar and organic garden-grown rosemary. Vegan breakfasts are also available and include the delightful fresh ginger lemon and rosemary buckwheat waffles, topped with pineapple and birch syrup.
